A friend of mine is clearing out some stuff his father left when he passed away and when he overheard me asking about lead from another friend he offered me some he had laying around the garage. Ended up with about 25 lbs of some pretty soft lead
Also in the pile was a small box of 100 or so .45 cal bullets. They have been lightly sized to .452 -ish and look like they were lubed with a alox/beeswax mix. They weigh in about 253gr. they are approx .75 long and wear a GC. I haven't yet found them cataloged anywhere but???

Bullet with dark lube is a Lee 452-228-1R

Does anyone recognize then and is so are they suitable for .45ACP? I've loaded a couple of dummy rounds and maybe... He also asked me if I would be interested in his dads old moulds since he has no interest in casting and said he'd pick them up for me in a week or so.
