Lyman 311291 sprue plate screw set screw

The little one in the side of the mold that achcors the sprue plate screw. What is the thread type? Got this mold missing it and want to get one at the hardware store.

Take the mold half with you to the store and find the screw that fits and then get a set screw of the same thread

Don't forget to drop a BB sized piece of lead or copper into the hole so that when you tighten things up, you don't crush any of the threads on anything. Ends of bolts and screws will do that to unprotected threads. LLS

No such standard thread as 10-40. 10-28 is UNC and 10-32 is UNF.

Take the mold half to the store. Probably 8-32.
