Has anyone heard of these or have any experience with them.

Any thoughts?

I tried looking up the sight at the web address at the end of the video, but there doesn't seem to be such an address and a search for the name didn't produce much of anything either.

The dial for the elevation adjustment reminds me of the BREN machine gun sight.

I saw the same video last night and was considering upgrading the sights on my win 94 30-30. I am new to lever guns and need sights that can be easily adjusted to know positions for different distances for an NRA lever action silhouette match. The factory sights on my gun (early 70's) just seem quite crude for what I want to do.

How many of the match rules will allow that sight? I don't shoot competition but I know that there are some restrictive rules.

That video was posted in December of 2012. Been around a while. I sent the guy and email just for more info and to see if he's still selling them.

I don't know the match rules for NRA. Our range is pretty laid back. They do allow click adjustable receiver sights, but I think hollow front sights are not allowed.

I tried to find a web site too, to no avail. I just bought a Marlin 1895 LTD V in 45-70 and want a site that is easily adjustable for target and hunting due to the rainbow trajectory. I have communicated with them via email and they need to know the bullet weight, caliber, velocity, barrel length etc. to supply the right cam. I have requested more info but have not heard anything back yet. Will keep y'all posted.

He is a member here; http://castboolits.gunloads.com/member.php?8360-HPT

I know him personally, he makes an :awesome: sight.

You may want to try sending him PM.

This appears to be his patent application for this particular sight adjuster.

When you click the link to download the technical stuff, you get this.

Neufeld also seems to have quite a few other items that he has submitted patent requests for.

RR Rick,

I have been emailing him getting more info. Looks like I need to do some work on my part to come up with a load and velocity to give him.

Montana Charlie- Thanks for the info. Will check it out further.

Looks like I need to do some work on my part to come up with a load and velocity to give him.
The device compensates for bullet drop at various ranges, but only for one load per cam.
Change any component affecting velocity or weight and you need a different cam to do the compensation.

MC, That is what he said. Different load, need a different cam. Like I said, need to do some home work. Just got the rifle. The sight looks good for my purposes.

I wonder if he could set it up for minutes of angle (MOA) adjustments or any permutation of an MOA? The measurement per MOA would depend on your sight radius, but that's easy to figure out. Done that way, you would have the flexibility for make adjustments for any load as long as you know the load's trajectory, and again, that's easy enough to figure out.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with Mr. Neufeld? I tried a PM but got no response.

Thank you,

Grizzly

I actually have one of these sights. This thread just popped up in a Google search for something else I was looking for.

Mine is on a Marlin 45/70 and the dial is set for a 400gn bullet at 1800 FPS. I haven’t tested it out yet at longer ranges.

If I remember correctly he is out of Canada. I tried to contact him several years ago with no luck. Still would like one.

Yeah, I would like to contact him as well. I’m missing the aperture on mine, and would love to get another. Standard ones don’t fit, since he used metric threads.

Some extra cam wheels would be cool too.
