I have been looking at a EAA 10mm and wanted to hear your experiences with EAA pistols

Do a search on EAA on here or go back thru the pages. There was decent thread on them a while back.

I have had a couple EAA Tanfaglio in 9mm and 45ACP. The CZ75 set up quickly became a favorite. Very nice gun for the money.

I have a Witness Match .45 that'll do sub 2" groups off hand for me at 25 yards. Does everything I need it to and have never had an issue in the 3ish years I've had it.. 8)

My EAA Tanfoglio Witness FS 9mm is my favorite pistol. It had a long break in period, where it shot low, but now it is broken in and punches the bullseye like a champ. It eats any ammo and never malfunctions. It is a darn great pistol.

For the fellow with a leading issue - your bullet diameter must be too small - that is what causes leading. I shoot lots of lead in my Witness and get no leading.

Is that a SAR or a Tanfaglio?

No problems or complaints. I think they are a good value for the price.

Have 2 -an old comped 40 and a newer 10mm. They shoot great but I think that the 10 comes "undersprung" from the factory. I added heavier recoil springs and it still throws empties a long way but not the 40 feet plus that it did with the original springs.

My shooting partner and I almost bought a pair of them in 10mm last spring, and I was quite excited to find a ten for that price point, and it seemed like a decent pistol, but some research showed there have been some issues with frames cracking on the 10mms in the past, and that was enough to scare me off.
Some sources agree with Treeman in that the ten needs a heavier recoil spring and that will solve the cracking problem, and that is what I am thinking I will do when it comes to the point of me getting a 10mm to play with and use as a bear gun.

The two guys that I know that own them in .40 and 10mm both love them, and in my opinion they are way better than the S&W SVD 40, at about the same price.

I have had a witness in 45 for about 20 years now and it shots as good as my kimber and dan wesson. I did polish the ramp and open the bevel on the face of the barrel and now it will feed anything I put in it, just bought the conversion kit for 10mm last year and did the same thing to the barrel, no prblem feeding any cast boolits and they are accurate.

10mm are known for cracking slides and I had a .40 that cracked also. The 9mm match was a great gun and being all steel it soaked up recoil like a sponge. EAA customer service sucks, slow and tough to get on phone plus they make you pay shipping on a warranty claim. Don't even try to get warranty service unless you got your original sales slip as warranty is to original buyer only.

I have a .40 witness, and it's a very good pistol. I had a .45 for a while, too, but it's on a slightly bigger frame, and I found that I didn't care for it quite as much. The Witness line is fairly heavy, which isn't a bad thing, necessarily. I wouldn't hesitate to get the 10mm, you'll like it. Heres a link for you.
