I went to set up at the gunshow today, and a guy was selling some molds from an estate. I bought a 41027 41 mag hollowbase mold, and a NOS 452423 2 cavity Lyman from the '50s. I had to skip lunch, since I didn't have gunshow cash with me at the time, but it was worth it.

And I don't even own a 41 mag! I'll get pics up soon, it's getting a light Kroil bath to clean it up.

Nice finds. I am especially partial to the 452423 in any of the 1917 family of revolvers.

Now you have a reason to get a 41

I once had that Lyman 41027 and a 41 Mag and it was a good combination. But that HB feature was a stinker to cast; I had to rig up a setup to keep the insert in the flame from a propane torch to keep it up to the necessary heat...then things worked fine. i also used that bullet in my 405 WCF as it casted at around .412-.413. Shoot well out to 50 yards, but wouldn't feed in the 95 so loading them was a one at a time affair. LLS

It was you!!!! YOU BEAT ME TO THAT TABLE!!!! LOL> Just kidding. Went to the same gunshow today and picked up a 452374 @ that same table I am sure.

1Shirt made out like a BANDIT at that table!!! Got a mold I didn't even know existed. Although, to be honest, thats not too hard to do. Still a nice mold. I checked around for your table and didn't see anything that stood out. You didn't by chance have 2 lee handpresses @ your table did you?

I really didn't have any reloading stuff on my table except for 223 brass, and some leftover cast 44s. You should have seen what he had on the table Friday night during set up. That's where my two came from. He also had an Ideal "Perfection" mold for 32 caliber rifle. I'm sure I'll kick myself for passing on it. I bought six molds from the guy.

I was happy as a pig in sh** to find the 452374 @ that table (with 1Shirts help). Should work well for the RIA Compact, when I get it back from RIA!!!! Can't beat his prices either!

There was a single cavity, and a double cavity. You must be the guy who got the double cavity one. He also had the rather rare gaschecked 45 ACP RN, but I didn't buy it because it was a single cavity. As of tonight, he should still have it. I went through his molds just before he left. The 38 Colt heel based was still there, as were both of the inside lubricated versions, and the inside lubricated 41 Colt mold. There's still lots of small bore stuff left, 24, 25, & 26 caliber, and even a cute little 25 ACP single cavity. Much of the small bore stuff is new.

It was glorious. I bought molds for calibers I don't even own. He's supposed to be at the next Fremont show too. If money weren't so tight, nobody would have seen any of them. He offered all of them to me for $2000.00 Friday night. If I had the money, I would have bought them. He easily started out with perhaps a couple of hundred molds, counting the muzzleloaders.

Fremont? Used to spend a lot of time in that town when my grandparents were still around. Now I know it as home of Cylinder & Slide...they're still around, aren't they?

Fremont show is a MESS!!! They always put way too many tables in WAY TOO SMALL OF A SPACE. Most of the time it's all brand new stuff @ > retail. But if Mr. Molds is gonna be there I may have to just suffer through it. Heading to the columbus show the 8th & 9th, if he's not there then I guess gotta go to the Fremont show.

BHN 22, you heading to the columbus show?

Probably not Columbus. I've never had much success there. Beat-rice is this weekend. I'll miss that one for certain. My biggies are Lincoln, Seward, and Crete. My homies set up there, and we sit around and talk, swap lies, and laugh at the guys trying to sell the ARs they bought for double price last year. They're so serious, and so silly!
