Just picked this up. today is the second day spent trying to get the lead out of the boar. Last inch is the worst.

I can't wait still trying to get it clean. I think I have something like kryptonite stuck to the boar

Chore boy wrapped around a bronze brush will clean that lead out in 2 minutes. You'll be amazed. If you can't find chore boy locally, you can order it on ebay. Nice cannon.

I found this one accidently . I was trading off some stuff I didn't shoot anymore to buy a BFR in .475 and somehow this came home instead.

I've got something like chore boy. I picked it up at a gun show years ago its always worked just fine just not this time. Never had leading like this soak and scrub soak and scrub soak and scrub I'm getting it. Have to look for real chore boy and give it a try.

If you can't find Real Copper Chore Boy let me know and I'll send you a couple of pads of it. The store down the street has it on its shelf.

Local ace Hardware had it thanks though. Still scrubbing someone neglected this boar. Everything looks good just never had one this hard to get clean.

That is a cannon. Ok, I'm properly envious. I'd try Carnuba Red lube with boolits for that. I use it in my 480 Ruger with no leading. You will need a good one.

I see it has a round butt grip. I presume for concealment?

Be very careful, some of that stuff is copper coated steel. Must be some nasty stuff. Howitzer projectiles make a mess in a barrel.

I'd say that cannon would either get the lead through the boar or into it in pretty good shape!

Still looking for a ibw holster but may have to convert an over the back shotgun scabbard.

50% vinegar & 50% Hydrogen Peroxide will remove the leading.
Residue is one of the most poisonous of the lead salts.
Wear nitrile or other barrier gloves.
May harm the bluing, but I cleaned up a S&W 19-2 with no trouble or bluing damage.

Fine gun! Looks like someone shot store bought boolits through it.
We have shot those with PB boolits without leading.
