Last week I made these. About a thousand.

with this

and today I turned some into these

ESPC all the way. Cleaner, easier, faster. 1 spray, 1 bake. Sorry for bad pics. These boolits have a smooth thick coat. Sized to .358 super easy. Hopefully these will meet the function and accuracy requirements to replace my j-word pistol bullets for steel and USPSA.

Than lubing, or tumbling or tumble lubing. 1 spray 1 bake, total coverage, even and smooth. Can do 300 at a time in the oven, maybe more. Only slowed down by the number of trays I have to cook on. If I had 6 trays I could probably do 1000 in an hour.

I'm still working with 80 at a time, myself. [smilie=1:

I still got my toaster oven. Doing little batches sucked. I'm using a double rack counter top oven now. Like $60 on sale at the walmart. I will post some pics of my set up next time I coat.

Nice! My HF powder won't come off the N/S foil. Hmm..
I like your setup though! 8-) I definitely gotta get some bigger trays too.

What if you sprayed the foil with Pam?

BangerJim has covered that. Pam does not work well with PC.

Yes, I tried it and it was as KTM400 said. And Banger has tried it too with several things (wax paper, vegetable oil, pam) and also found that any type oil or wax will wick up the side of the boolit when it gets to 400 degrees and spoil the powder.

Did you use the nonstick side of the foil? I've made that mistake a few times with food. Everything stuck to the backside of the foil

Got some bigger trays. Did 600 in one cook today. Sorry for the blurry pic.:-?

My will to resist this is weakening every time I read one these posts and see the pics. Has there been a thread started outlining the limitations of ESPC? I only remember reading that rifle rounds hadn't proved out too well yet but pistol was pretty much good to go.

What do the bases of your PCed bullets look like?

BTW, I sprayed some dry graphite lube on the aluminum foil pre baking and bullets did not stick (CAT boom and outrigger lube)...

I use no stick foil and the boolits come right off. Any remaining flashing comes off when sized. My mold is bevel base so I get a little bit of wrap under. I will try to get a pick of some bases up.

I can not speak to rifle limitations. My PC'ed cast boolits go through various pistols in USPSA production division and steel matches. No noticeable difference in accuracy. In fact this past week I actually won two stages in our local weekly steel match. (me bragging) These boolits weight out to 137.5 cast and right at ~138 when coated and sized. I shoot them at about 980 fps to make minimum power factor.

I also use them in my 9mm AR. I have not chronoed it but they run great, shoot accurate and it stays as clean as any jacketed bullet.

I've already glued 100 nuts to my metal trays (flashing from home depot) but I like the use of the reloading block. I can get two of them on each of my trays. While not up to your level I would be getting 200 per cooking cycle and for me that would be great.
I could have the loading blocks preloaded and just put them on the tray and cook.

What brand powder are you using ? Reason I am asking I noticed your bullet placement was tight and not elevated on nuts or washers. I use HF powder and if I spray enough powder to get a full coat at the base there is a lot of powder on the tray. But I noticed if the moisture is lower lets say no rain my powder works a lot better.

The picture below is of the bullets I have cast with my Automated Master Caster over the last two week.

Most are Sprayed with the powder coating gun but some were coated using the Piglet Method and some were don by the dry coating shaking in a #5 plastic container.

The Piglet method with the automotive lacquer thinner worked well but does not give as smooth a finish as the ES gun, need more practice withe the Piglet method.

The dry tumble method was tried for the first time, worked well but had to move to the cooking plate with some small tipped tweezers.

The Gold bullets for the 38 Special were coated with the HI-TECH material from Bayou Bullets.

Putting gas checks on the powder coated bullets at the time using an upside down Lee Push Through sizing Die,

Two weekends of work , one weekend to cast and one weekend to coat, size and install the gas checks during the week after getting of work.

The bullets are 230 grain round nose for the 45 LC, 200 grain SWC for the 45 ACP, 180 grain flat nose for the 40 S&W and 158 grain SWC for the 38 Special.

Still learning on how to coat the bullets, this is a lot of effort but is fun when they are loaded and shot.

The color powder is from PBTP. The black is HF. Humidity? Moisture? I know not of what you speak. I think it rained here in Nov or something.

I haven't seen a need to elevate the boolits so I haven't tried it. The closer spacing does make getting good coverage at the base a challenge, but the larger spacing lowers the amount of boolits per tray/cook. I hate doing 200 or 250 at a time when I can get 600-700 on the trays. I've only ESPC'd about 2500 boolits, so it's still a developing process for me.
