Any experience with boolits cast from this mold for Mosin Nagants or British Enfields? Have an M44 that slugs at .313 and a MK 4 that slugs at .3125. Thanks

If your No. 4 is a 5-groove barrel, a standard thimble micrometer will give a false reading which is too small. Try wrapping your slug with bond paper, measure it OVER the paper wrap and then subtract twice the paper thickness. If typical, your .303 is probably closer to .315" in the groove diameter, although the great majority to run true to size .303" on the bore.

The #314299 works well, but in most rifles you will want to size not smaller than .314", and if you have a die honed out to .316" I would try that first and see if rounds chamber and extract freely, because many wartime barrels are that large.

A charge of 30 grs. of RL7 will give about 2000 fps and shoot on at 100 yards using the "300" aperture of the Mk2 battlesight, if your rifle was properly zeroed with Mk7 Ball Cordite to start with. The same load works well in the 7.62x54R. Size .314" for the Russian rifles and and the Finnish M39 .312" for the Finn M24, M27, M28 and M28/30.

For a lighter load 16grs. of #2400 for about 1500 fps, is fairly standard.

For an economy load in either, without GC, try 6-7 grs. of Bullseye with an as-cast, unsized wheelweight bullet, tumbled in Lee Liquid Alox works well at about 1000-1080 fps. No filler is needed. Use the "500" leg of the Mk2 battlesight for 100 yards.

Fine mould and boolit, I was developing loads with in a Martini Enfield over the holidays, needed sizing down to .314" and was a tad to big to bore ride but then that Martini does have a tight bore for a 303. Consistent and repeatable 3" 100 yrds 10 shot groups which is as good as it is going to get with those sights and my eyes.

Very fine mould and bullet. I use it in my own 3 MNs (M28, M39 and M28/91 sniper), my .303 Ross Mk 10 and my 3 M91 and a M1909 7.65 Argentines. Mine drops at .315 with proper alloy and runs .303 on the nose. I have used it with success in several .303s, couple Belgian 7.65s and a jap 7.7 with .315 - .316 groove barrels. Those do better with bullet that fits though. The 311299 and 314299 are very good for longer range shooting in .30/.31 cal rifles.

Yep, get the 316299 if you want it for your Enfield. Just got mine in this week from NOE. It is beautiful!

Mine actually drops boolits at .317 or slightly larger, I got the 4 banger so it produces a large pile fast

My ME has a similar need and so have ordered a 303 neck sizing bush so I can size the first 1/3 of the nose down from the .304 the mould drops them at. Then I can seat them out so the front band is engaged in the throat as at the moment I have to seat them with the front of the front band right at the case mouth. An unused die turned out to take the bushes and I can use the 303, 7mm and 6.5 that also need a little tweaking for best accuracy. Plinking loads can be deeper seated to save having to run them through the sizer a second time to do the noses.
I did similar thing for my 7x57 and 6.5 GM . You can just see where I have sized the nose on the 7mm bullet to at the point of the screw driver .
