I just received one of these in the mail. What do y'all think of them? I plan on using it for practice rounds in a snubby.

358477 I'm assuming.
if so you'll end up wondering when your gun become so accurate.

I love that bullet, been casting it for decades now.

I have one myself. Makes a fine boolit that shoots quite well out of my Security Six. Another thing I like about this boolit is that a saddle-tramp friend of mine also shoots cast out of a 357, but he buys his, simple enough. It seems to piss him off that I can cast better boolits than he can buy, that's the part I love. JW

I have been using the RCBS 38-150-SWC since the mid-seventies and it remains my most used revolver mold.

I have a two cavity 358477 and love it. I have been casting, sizing, and lubing about 1,000+ a week out of it. The accuracy at 25 yards out of my six inch blackhawk is very nice. At about 800fps in 38spl it keeps them all in the black at 25 yards(benched using 700X). I bought my mold from a member here and have had no complaints. There is no telling how many have fallen out of it and it's still going strong. Below is a list of my handguns that like this boolit to show you it's versatility. Thanks.

S&W Model 19-2 two inch snubby (Pre-Lock)
Taurus Model 85 Pre-Lock Snubby
S&W 686-6 Four inch w/lock
Ruger Blackhawk 357 (1970 model) six inch barrel
Ruger Sp101 Two inch

I love it in both 38 and 357, both fast and slow.

I too use the RCBS 150-SWC, with my alloy drops at 152gr, my two 686s love that bullet, I shoot nothing but that bullet in my 686.

That is an outstanding mold for the 38 Special and works beautifully in a snubnose.
I understand that the older RCBS 38-150-SWC molds drop bullets that are a bit lighter than the current molds. I have one of the newer molds and it makes perfect SWC bullets that weigh 159-160 with my alloy, which is close enough to 158 grains for me.

I use that bullet in all of my 38 Special revolvers with excellent results.

I think you'll be very happy with it.

Good boolit, only one I liked better was the 358156 HP. Thing would make a chucks eyeballs bulge out!
Yeah guys, I loved a HP but I mostly varmint hunted back then.
I was able to hit those tiny frozen juice cans at 100 with both boolits from my 27. How many of you are old enough to remember those cans? :bigsmyl2:
I miss that .357, had an 8-3/8" ribbed barrel with a Phantom scope on it. What a wonderful gun it was. I used 2400 but do not remember the loads.
