Hello to all, joined a few years back but didn't post much.

Fellows I have a Beretta 92 9mm and would like to know which Lee cast bullet seems to work the best for anyone else having this same firearm. Between the Lee 356-120TC or the Lee 358-125RF what would be the pick?

My barrel mikes at .3565" groove diameter. I use wheelweight metal for most of my casting. Also does anyone know which of these bullets has the largest diameter meplate?

Hopefull to save alot of trial and error if anyone is so kind to share their experience with these bullets!

Either one work well in my Beretta. I settled on a Ranch Dog design that I like in my other 9mm pistols and works well in the 92fs too. It's a 135 grain RF design, but pretty close to the 358-125-rf.

I use a Lee TL 124gr mold. I had some trouble getting them to stop leading and not tumble. Turned out it was me crimping too much.

They shoot fine. No issues with chambering, etc...

I use the Lee 356 120 TC conventional lube design in all my 9mms. Beretta 92 likes it just fine,
at either .357 or .358 diam.

Many thanks for the replies. I will go with the 356-120 TC.

At present I have Unigue and Bluedot powder on hand, and prefer to use either one. Anyone have a preference between the two?

I have shot a lot of IMR 7625. It is very close to Unique. Most of what I have used was in the 9mm, with very good results. So, I can recommend that. Mike

I don't have the years of casting experience that others on this forum have but I do cast 9mm a little. A member on this forum graciously gave me a Lee 356-120 TC mold. FWIW, That bullet works well in my Beretta 92
As for powders, I am a strong advocate of Winchester WSF for the 9mm but you have Unique that will work.

We use the Lee 125gr RF in our 9mms size it to .358 and works well in the several we own, we also use the same boolit same size in our 38/357s

Thanks fella's, now that I finally have my Kimber 45ACP shooting cast nicely (after a learning experience), I want to get my 9mm shooting Silver Boolits.

The barrel diameter can be all over the place with them. They also will almost eat anythjng. I like the TC design. I have found they have a longer throat than most and you can seat it out pretty far.

I am getting good results from both bullets mentioned in my Taurus pt92 which is for most purposes a Beretta 92. Just find the best coal for each bullet because they will be different.

I shoot Unique. Lots of smoke, but it puts on lead downrange.

What "as cast" diameter are you fella's getting with the Lee 356-120 TC using WW alloy? (If that is what you use)

The Lee 358-125 RF looks like it has a larger meplat from pictures I've seen.

Unique is excellent for 9mm.

I have 4 9mm Beretta 92 barrels, and all of them are just under .358". If you have a smaller groove diameter, you can get away with a smaller diameter bullet. Since I cannot, I use the Lee 358 125 RF, with a light load of 231. Run your pistol 'wet' with oil, and you will have less problems.
