Bought a cramer 2 cavity mold a couple of weeks ago & finely got around to getting it up & running. The #'s on the sprue plate didn't match the bullet styles/designs in the mold. These old molds can still put out some beautiful bollits.

After casting some up & weighing them it turns out that they are the cramer #50. They measured .312 as cast with range lead. The #50 weighed 122gr and the #50 hp weighs 110gr.

What a nice surprise to find the mold cast 30cal light weight plinking bullets. The #50 122gr spitzer & the #50 hp version that turns the spitzer nose into a fn bullet that can be used in anything.

Cramer molds are pre-SAECO and of excellent quality. Hope those CB's shoot as good as they look, forrest!

I have an old 2C Cramer 55A that is the easiest to cast boolit mould I have in .25 caliber.
forrest--those #50 hp's would be a great plinker for the .30-30.

I just finished casting with my Cramer number forty-five and one of the cavities is hollow pointed . It's a little fussy to cast with but even the rejects shoot pretty well . The hardest this about the mold is getting the pin to release the bullet untill it gets up to temperature .

The second mold I ever bought was a Cramer 3 cavity 18H 148 grain 38 WC. I cast a thirty three gallon garbage can full of wheel weights using it, back during 77-79. They are good molds.

Yup, had cramer molds in the past & currently own 2 of them. It's always a **** shoot with these older used molds, never know what someone did to them over the last 70+ years.

It was just a nice surprise to find it cast these light 30cal plinkers. At 122gr the spire points would make excellent boolits for the 7.62x39's & the hp's can be used in anything.

I was planning on using them in the 30-06/308 & 30-30. They seem to have a pretty good drive band on them, we'll see.
