I have borrowed an Ideal 225462 mold from a friend for casting for 220 Swift. Love the boolits. Has Accurate or any of the custom makers have a multiple cavity mold with that design? If not, is there enough interest to talk to them about a group buy?

The Ideal 225462 is almost impossible to find I understand. I have been searching for months and was lucky enough to find one to borrow for a month or so, but I hate borrowing things, would rather buy my own.

I have also borrowed this mold from a friend. It's a 4 cavity and for me it gets heavy. I would also like to buy one if after the load development and testing it shoots for me. I have only cast WW in it so far they look good. Next will be Lino then Lyman #2.

I will be using it in a NEF with 1/12 twist .223 Rem. and home assembled AR with 1/9 twist.

The one I am using is a single cavity. Progress is slow!

There are several on the dreaded E-Bay right now, but they are already more than I want to pay for an old used/beat up mold. They do appear there quite often.

I have a 225462 Lyman but mine is a hollow point.

I have not shot it a lot because I find my Lyman 225415 shoots very well.

If you go the custom route see if they can eliminate the scraper groove. No need for it with lubes these days. I've a double cavity 225462 and it is my "go to" mould for most of my .22 cast bullet shooting.

NOE has this Egan mold. At least if my memory is correct it's an old Egan design. 55 grain flat nose with band like a Loverin but tapered diameters. http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=311&osCsid=0nbif96qc2ddd13sm667ti0k74

He has two nice looking Loverin designs of heavy weight. One that cast .227" to fill those over sized 5.56mm NATO throats.

Much as I like the 226462, and like TCFAN, I too have a HP version, I think Gabby's idea has merit. Eagan designs have a bullet proof reputation.
