Deer steaks and squirrel. Simmering for about an hour and a half after I browned them.

Broiled salmon, baked potatoes and steamed mixed veggies (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots).
Would rather have had roast venison...wife won't cook it(she claims it smells like liver, which she detests).
I'll make roast venison on Saturday when she is at work.

Is there any rat in this Stew, absolutely not, well a little bit, quite a lot realy.Monty Python Show.
I like Pheasant Breast and Leg cooked simply in Tinfoil with some Bacon and Salt and Pepper.Never tried Squirrel although we have plenty here since they where introduced during Victorian times. They have just about ousted our native Red Squirrels apart from some conservation areas.

"a cup of hot Earl Gray"

Word!
I drink hot Earl Grey everyday...beverage of choice.

I am on cup #3 this morning.

Snowing hard here...I just shoveled the sidewalk around the house while the Lab played in the snow.
Going to wait until later to get the snowblower out in the driveway...it is too wide for the walkway anyhow.

Quit you guys, yer killin me! Fried bass, squirrel (used to parboil for 20 minutes, then fry),venison. Reminds me of the part on Hee Haw where they would ask Grandpa, "What's fer Supper Grandpa?" Been many years since I've had any Blue Grouse. Next year, that would be my goal.

Took a GF to eye doctor - 80 yrs old, macular degeneration - bad news. Then took her to a favorite place nearby (friendly joint, know the owner), had spinach salad, wings and pizza, and brought some home for dinner tonight. Bachelor, you know...
