I've never seen one adjustable like this and with no lube grooves is this for PP?

I would say it's for paper patch and different weights by turning the screw in and out.

Could also use it for cores for swaging.

I was wondering that myself. I've never seen anything like that in any of my old ideal books, perhaps custom made on old ideal blocks?

Paper patch.
That doesn't look factory to me.

The adjustable base Lyman molds I have seen and the one I have the screw is smaller. Probably a 10-24. I do have an old Lyman core mold and am thinking of making a new adjustable base for it and turn the base into the nose. It would work good with Hi-Tek coating in a 30 caliber gun.

It doesn't look factory to me either. It kinda looks like it is perhaps a rebored core mold. The cavity seems a bit short for a .40 Paper Patch. If it said "Ideal" on it instead of Lyman, it would be easier believe. Regardless, it's a cool mold, and I've wasted more money on less.
