Trying to make life easier loading boolits for a 9mm bore rifle.

RCBS makes a 9mm-147-FN, PB. Looks good. Does anyone make a NON bevel base heavy .355 / .356 diameter boolit? I have seen some 160 grainers, but all BB.

Oftentimes, the bevel base is necessary to clear the rather abrupt inside case taper. The bullet shanks can only be so long. I have a bunch of 147 gr RCBS cast up that weigh 151 gr. You can however, try Lyman 358156 at 160ish gr, without the gascheck. These do feed in every 9mm I've tried them in. Leaving the gascheck off allows the base to clear the inner case taper. This really isn't much help if you want a true full diameter bullet base though.

Lyman's 45th Ed lists 9MM loads with Lyman 358311, not a BB.

I could have sworn that I added 358311 to the bottom of my post.

Guess not...

Inner case is not a problem, this is a 357 Max chambered Martini rifle with a 9mm barrel. Life is like a box of chocolates....

Now that you all have mentioned the shortness of 9mm cases, the bevel does seem to make sense for those cases... But with 1.6 inches of brass, I probably have enough not to worry. True, I could size a 358 down, but this is America, and they do have a few 9mm boolits out there... Thx...
