Bullseye Fiber Optic Sights (eBay) Any Good

I'm looking at sights like eBay item 111254477345

I have a red dot on my 1895, but I'd rather have some kind of iron sights. I like the look of these, they look fast.
I'm just wondering about that big ring hooking on brush, our even the inside of a soft case...

Anyone have experience with them? Are they fairly solid?

I've never had any experience with them, but they look nice. Since they look smooth, and are round, I don't think that they would catch on anything. Rather neat looking, kind of like an old target sight. If I had anything that might use them, I'd be tempted to give them a try. I like the 'old-timey' look.

Pretty solid - for fast snap shots they work great - precise target not so good.

Don't know what the price is on ebay--but that is a marble's rear sight, as sold at midway for $17.00. Just FYI.

It looks like Midway doesn't have front & rear as a kit.
If a guy only needed the rear, that's a lot less expensive.

JMO, but it's a peep sight that's situated too far from the shooter's eye for best practice ( a peep sight aperture should be looked through, not "at", w/o seeing it) - but an inexpensive workaround for those rifles w/o a receiver peep sight prep, or who's owner doeasn't want to install a taller front sight for a clip-on (scope mounting grooves) receiver sight.

I played with one of these at the Marbles Booth at the SHOT Show. It works pretty well and is certainly a lot cheaper solution to the problem than any Receiver Sight.

All of the circles automatically line up for you instantly and all you do is put the red dot on the target and let fly. Target acquisition is very fast. They had their different sights mounted on rifle stocks so you could actually get a feel of how the thing was going to work, and I was impressed by this one.

If the looks don't bother you that much, then this sight will do a good job. It is no bigger than a full buckhorn rear sight in actual size.

It looks like its just begging to be broken. The position of it is also really far out for a peep sight. If you want a aperture sight for an 1895 I would just buy a Skinner. I have one on my 1894C and can't say enough good things about it. I just ordered one of their barrel mounted sights for a Savage 99 so I will find out how well forward mounted apertures work.

i have shot one on a 357rossi 92.
an interesting idea and works pretty well but appears a bit delicate for hard use in the bush.
i am pretty sure i would bend it over before too long.
not that its not well made, its very well made, its just that i am hard on my rifles.
but for casual or range use it is a good sight, provides a unique but good picture, and is easy to shoot well with.
