May have a chance to pick up a B92 locally and have been unable to find the twist rate for it. Does anyone know what it is and any other particulars in regards to cast bullets? I would like to know before I start the haggling process. Thanks Nick

It's a .357

Is that a typo, or do you have a 25-20? I doubt the twist rate would have any bearing on how fast one of us here would
snap it up if it was. Its not Mirco groove, thats the best buying point.. B-92s are the best.

I checked my 357 and it came in at 1in16 as close as I can tell pulling a tight patch. might tad slower, but not much.

Correct that's a typo, it's .357. Thank you.

+1 You've found a hen's tooth, so I suggest you jump on it - because if whatever twist it has doesn't suit you, there's literally thousands of other leverguners out there who it would suit. ;)

My B92 357 shoots cast 125 to 158 grain very well. The B92 44mags had an oversize bore so you need bullets in the .432 to .434 range for them. In the .357 the bores are proper size so nothing special required.

Well it followed me home today. I did very well on the price and the gun is in pretty much "as new" condition. No saftey's and the old half cock hammer design so none of the rebounding hammer BS. I tried some of my ammo for feeding. The .357 RNFP's and TLSWC's feed fine as do 358429 in .38 cases so now we just have to see what shoots the best. I haven't decided whether I'm going with a tang or receiver sight yet but will use my Taurus tang with just one screw for load testing. Very nicely made gun, fit & finish is excellent, a definite step up from Winchester,Rossi & Marlin. Glad I bought it.
