Do you guys suppose a lightly copper plated lead core would adhere better to the jackets then a standard lead core would? I run a few cores in my tumbler when I polish my finished bullets. The lead cores come out with a nice copper shine to them.

That might add some roughness that would allow for a friction bond of sorts. Actually, electroplating copper to the cores wouldn't be that hard and may give an added layer to the cores for strength. Worth a shot!

I do not know. I think you may be over thinking it. I am always up for a way to make a better bullet but just not sure if that would be the ticket. One way to see if it works though, right?

It isn't hard to through them in with the polishing bullets, might actually be an easy way to ensure the cores are free from any debris. We shall see.......

I'm kind of thinking it might have the opposite effect and make the core slicker. Clean lead to me feels a little sticky so that under pressure it would tend to stick to the brass jackets better. I assume we're talking about brass jackets here. I doubt you'd get the lead core to truly "bond" with the jacket just from pressure though. The copper coat would probably just get in the way. I think I would agree with Joe C. and say you might be overthinking it. What's the old saying; a solution to a problem that doesn't exist?
