I just bought a 5 cav. and it should be here in a few days. My 700 in .308 has a 1:10 twist.

I'm hoping I can get somewhere around 2300-2400fps with 1.5 MOA @ 100

I'll probably be PC these boolits but might try some CR at a lower velocity as well.

Just looking to punch paper and ring steel.

Alloy will be 80-20 WW-Lino at 20-21BHN

After PC and curing in the 400deg. oven, they hit around 30-31

Who has had luck with this boolit?

One of my favorite molds. I've been using it in my Hex Finnish Mosin with great accuracy - in fact, last month tried it on the long range silhouettes and knocked down plenty of 500 yard rams...

I'm working my way up the 2400 ladder.
19 grs of 2400 looks really promising.

12.7 grs red dot are giving consistent 1 moa +/-

Trying 2520,H335 and H4895 and IMR 4895.

I will let you know how they come out.

It is casting season here in New England, so here is a pile from my 311365. They are 205 grains with a Cu GC.

The 311365 NOE is from my sample bullet from my Ideal mold. My Remington 700V and Ruger 77 (old tang safety) shot 19g of 4759(or 18.5 W296) with this bullet very well. It often went sub MOA.Not all the time but it was one of the better long 30 calibers I shot in those guns. I dint find any advantage shooting matches to 300 yards to go much above 1900 and that seemed to be a sweet spot for most of my heavier 30 cal cast bullets in the 308 production guns.No heat treating or extra steps needed.
