Have a Lyman 358156 ES 2 cav with undersize front bands. I want to cast this bullet with a .359 -.360 nose band and the nose modified to an Ogival Flat Point or Truncated Cone. Had some luck with a prototype modification of a single cav 358156 (different shank than the ES) which improved the bullet's accuracy in my .357 Mag Marlin 1894, but know I couldn't do it again, let alone two cavs. Anyone have interest or recommendation for this project?

From the sounds of things, you'd be better off going to Dan at Mountain Molds, www.mountainsmolds.com , and using his design on line program to get what you want. You'll probably have more $$$ tied up in redoing the Lyman, which you could Ebay for $30.00+, than the $60.00-80.00 one of Dans will cost you. And, Dans moulds have a sterling reputation, WILL be exactly what you want, and as a bonus you support a guy who sort of started out wid' us bozo's. The only problem with Dans program is that you get ideas for way more moulds than you could ever afford!

I'm not sure what you mean, but if you want to modify an existing mold, give Buckshot a holler. He done good on mine.

I recommend Mountain Molds rather than modifying Lyman. I like my MM.

Yep, I like the Mountain Moulds I have. Dan had one of my bullets on display on his website. Just nosing around, so to speak.
