I bought a 54 caliber mold for Great Plains bullets recently. It is in nice shape. I then ordered a pair of handles for a lyman single cavity mold. The mold won't come close to shutting, so it's pretty obvious I ordered the wrong handles. Any guess as to which ones I needed?

the lee's should work fine and modify easy enough and are cheap enough that if you umm bubba them up not much is lost

excess650 nailed the answer. Lyman hasn't made molds that take the small handles for decades, although I am not sure just when they quit using the small mold blocks.

Your first mistake, buying Lyman anything!

But a Lee six cavity handle. Will work just fine.

I had an extra pair in the barn that work fine. They too were lyman. I personally don't think another company holds a candle to them quality wise.
