I'm new here as you can tell, and I'm looking forward to learning from you guys . I'm into black powder shooting and I have a .32 black powder rifle that shoots well with a .310 round ball and a .015 patch. I would like to know if there's anyone here that casts any wad cutters for occasional target shooting (about 100 yds) and also a good bullet for hunting game like hogs. I've been using the Lee molds with good success and because I'm on a budget. Also could you please tell me what other bullets I can shoot from my rifle ? I would like to have a little selection to choose from. Thank you for reading this. Ron

Blizzard65;
.32 Round Ball muzzle loaders should be limited to small game. Wadcutters normally lose stability past fifty yards. In fact, they often show tipping before that. Handgun shooters have long used them for competition at 25 and fifty yards (as well as closer) but fifty yards is about the limit.

I suggest you think about a MUCH heavier caliber in a round ball muzzle loader (I am partial to fifty and fifty four caliber for round ball use on big game (and I consider hogs, big game). Bulleted muzzleloaders are an entirely different matter as the bullets have much greater sectional density than round balls and will offer much increased penetration.

You will need a faster twist for the longer bullets to stabilize them than a typical round ball gun offers.

Yeah, that makes sense, being that it's 1:48 twist. As for hogs I'll stick with my .44 mag. I was just wondering if there was any other bullet I could shoot besides a round ball. If a round ball is all I can shoot out of it then that's fine too. I'll be using it for small game but I would just like to have another bullet to shoot. I heard that there's a .32 maxi ball that some people shoot ?

You could try Lee's 90grs swc in .314, very accurate boolit for smokeless, dont know how it works in BP since its TL design groves in it

Years back I tried Hornady HBWC made for the .32 S&W long in a CVA .32, worked great on squirrels.

Layman 299155 is your .32 caliber "Minie Ball". 299152 or 299153 is a heeled RN boolit for .32 Colt that might work. Jack Harrison is still selling 299153 boolits on Gunbroker.
