Hi!

Does anyone have any experience with this Boolit in an AR platform?

Also, is this an identical match to the RCBS 22-055 SP as show in the mold title, or is there a slight difference in design.
All has a nice diagram on his sight showing all dimensions, but I can't find one for the rcbs to see if they are they same.

I have this mold and I am very well pleased with it in my Bushmaster and several bolt guns. I do not think it is identical to the RCBS mold. My bullets weigh in at 62 grains with the gas check installed. The weight is not a problem as I prefer heavier cast bullets in most of my firearms. I shoot this bullet with a heavy dose of IMR 4895 powder and it performs fantastically. This pic is of a 30 shot group at 100 yards with this bullet.

Awesome to hear. I have a 1 in 7 twist and it prefers 62 to 75 gr

Any pics of the bullets this mold drops?

A. Look in the "results " sub forum, I'm sure there were reviews
B. the photo on the NOE web site is realistic, the close up make the melplat look bigger that it is

C. If you want to try some, put a WTB ad in the classifieds and request either "as cast" or ask
what they are sized at.
D. Find a lead "egg shot" sinker that is close to .228 on the widest part and "slug" your
chambers throat.
D. Do you know what type of chamber your weapon has ? Wylde or nato ?

I have that mold. It works good in .223 bolts and ar's. also does good in.22-250 encores. I have used imr 3031 and wc 844 inthe ar. Colt 1-7" did pretty decent, but groups open up at 100 yards. In a 20" bull barrel 1-9" twist they do much better. I would like to try them with 4895 when it becomes available again.

Cant post in boolit exchange just yet but will try that when allowed.

Not sure if my chamber is wylde or nato, but thinking nato as its a Spikes Milspec.

I also noticed HM and Mihec have similar molds, so now im gonna have to see if I can get samples of all 3 :)
