I have a Corbin core swage die that I believe is for 6mm cores. It swages core at .202". I would like to swap for a 22 cal core swage die. It doesn't have to be a Corbin, just something that works in a reloading press and has the shellholder type base punch. Thanks!

I have been wrong before but I am pretty sure that Corbins 22 and 243 core swage "squirt" die is the same. I use the same die anyway works fine. Are you having problems getting the core to sit in a jacket?

Yes I am.

I believe the core swage die for 22 should produce a core in the .190" range (I think that is what mine is). My core swage I have for my 6.5mm set up puts out a .205 core.

224 and 243 use .185 (3/16) lead wire. The core swage die (AKA, squirt die) bumps that a little. I think .190 is the right number. At worst, it's close.

My RCE dies have cores at .190. I have to agree, .202 would be tight.

My RCECo 6mm core forming die is 0.201 inches. My Corbin core forming die for .224 is 0.190 inches. Both start as 0.185 inch lead wire.

I can seat 0.201 cores in .224 jackets made from RF cases, but have problems with these cores in commercial jackets.

Yup, the .202 cores will fit very snuggly in SOME (few) 22lr jackets.
