I just picked this cannon up at a flea market for $40.00. It's bronze with a overall length of 15 inches, the wheels are 6 inch and the barrel is 9 1/2 overall with a 8 inch long .50 caliber bore. Think I stole it but I paid what he asked for it.

The trunions are cast with the barrel, not soldered on and the carage and wheels are also bronze. There are no markings on the castings but it looks very well made, not like the cheep imported stuff that is usually found for sale.
I've aleady fired it with a patched round ball over 25 grains 2F powder. Need to use a heavier load to prevent richocets off the pine log backstop.
Going over to a buddy's tomorrow to make some noise.
