Hello folks,
I am attempting to scope my Winchester 1885 Miroku .45-70 BPCR, using a Unertl with standard Unertl micrometer mounts. Can anyone give me a selection of mounts available to do this? Is it preferable to use the existing barrel holes and drill two more further down the barrel, or obtain a cantilever-type base?
Thanks!
Amanda

The unertals rings use the posi blocks I dont know of a cantilever mount that duplicates those. Also on the external adjustment scopes ring spacing is important to get the right minute of angle adjustments per "click". I believe 1/4 minute clicks are a 7.2" spacing not sure though. I have a malcomn Im getting ready to mount blocks on several rifles for and its spacing is 17" between mount centers. Also keep in mind that the front mount is what determines eye relief as that is where the scope stop is. Do some reshearch and heck my numbers dont depend on them alone.

Not all Unertl mounts use posa bases, I think most don't or at least the 4 or 5 I have don't. Anyway, to get the right bases for your Unertl, call Steve Earle. Tell what you want to do and he will fix you up. His website is www.steveearleproducts.com. Really nice guy.
