I have a Ruger No.1 and a No.3 and was reloading and shooting store bought bullets. I like older buffalo guns with larger flatter shaped bullet. I came across this lyman 462560 mold. After researching this mold I found it was discontinued. What are the chances of finding any new old stock mold or used mold around? Do you know anyone who has one that may part with it? Thanks

Lyman did a short run of them not long ago, so you may luck into one. I bought one and had it HP'd for use in 45-70

545 gr. as a solid in WW's, 520 gr. as a HP out of 50/50

Thanks I have been reading about them, I read that they did that short run of them and am sad that I missed it. I checked gunbroker, ebay and a few others and came up with nothing. I beleave NEI has a 685 fn .458 cast but I have read it may be quite a bit more depending on what you cast. I thought about buying some of those 720 grain Ranger Rick's but it may be a bit over kill, but I would really like to cast my own vs buying. If a 462560 ever come up or some one has one on the self and would ever part with it or desides thier done with it let me know. Is there any other molds that are larger flat noised bullets that people think are better?

Why not just order a mold from Accurate? Or get a "real" LFN from LBT?

Hi Farmboy,

Tom at Accurate Molds ( http://www.accuratemolds.com/ ) will make just about anything you want. He's very reasonable on prices and his quality is excellent.

This is the heaviest 45 I see: http://www.accuratemolds.com/bullet_detail.php?bullet=45-530S-D.png ,

however there are several 46 calibers molds http://www.accuratemolds.com/bullet_detail.php?bullet=46-550M-D.png .

Take care, Tom

Many mold makers have made or do currently make flat nosed molds. The Accurate molds have a great reputation.

I've got a 458/460 flat nose two holer Lee that came from Ranch Dog molds here on this site. I'll take $35.00 for it shipped to conus.
