I will be interested in seeing those pics also, here is the only thing I could find on the elusive A3 press.

I'll take a picture of one of mine and post it. Nice presses..a true reloading press. Different than the earlier A 2A and A2s

A word of caution about the information contained in the PHILIPPINES download. There some errors as more accurate information became available after the article was written. This caveat applies to the RCBS and Hollywood article's.

The A3 has a large die bushing, but it is threaded in 12 pitch as compared to the 18 pitch of the older A series presses. The frame is cast iron, not cast steel and the paint quality is low. Paint chips off very easily. It has the same paint as the Rock Chucker of the era but not applies as well.

It was quickly discovered that the Rock Chucker would do everything the A3 would, at less cost and that was the end of the A series.

From RCBS web site - A3 instructions

About 3 years ago I found a like new A3 for sale on one of the auction sites.
It looked like and A2 in every way except it was threaded 7/8-14 into the casting and had no bushing with the larger thread. NO BUSHING AT ALL.

EDG, are you certain it was an A3? One of the A2 variations does not have a bushing, it is threaded 7/8-14 into the frame.
