Hi guys,

I just picked up a 35 Remington to reload for and trying to get things situated here. I know Horny doesn't make a shell plate for this caliber so I was going to see what works. I have a 45 ACP shell plate (not the .308 one, the dedicated 45 one) and wondering if anyone has used this to reload 35 Remington with.

It fits, and SEEMS to put it in the right spot to prime. Its .01" of difference so I might give it a try.

Anyone have one they could try just for giggles maybe? I don't have any dies yet so it would make wait... and wonder... and go insane until the dies showed up.

(also if anyone has any 35 rem brass they don't want, let me know, I have a total of 11... ruined one depriming it with a nail and a hammer... haha im impatient I know!)

:) Thanks

Check the case head dims for the 6.8, I think they use a sim case??

Not even close.... .422 vs .460, and im specifically wondering about 45acp... cause I have that one already. :)

Actually 45 acp is farther off than I thought... 480 vs 460 so its .02" off.

I'd try it with the .45 shellplate; if it doesn't work you may be in the market for an inexpensive single stage press and shell holder. I really doubt that you are going to shoot so many .35 Remington's that you really need to use a progressive press to keep up.

Yep that's the idea, if this doesn't work, Lee will get some more of my money. ;)

I'm sure this has already been answered for you, but yes the .45 ACP shell plate works perfectly for .35 Rem in my LNL AP.

Yep, found that out myself :) The smallest bit of wiggle.
