Since it seems everyone is blasting venison around now, I thought I might offer up a recipe for some southern cooking. Easy as pie, I made a batch today.
One FROZEN deer ham.
One cup white vinegar.
Two bottles B-B-Q sauce.
Two ounce lemon juice.
One turkey cooking bag.
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Place frozen venison in turkey bag with vinegar and one bottle B-B-Q sauce. Seal bag and place in roasting pan as near center of oven as possible. Leave it alone, cook for 8 hours.
Remove from oven, open bag and allow to cool. Discard liquid in bag, chop venison on cutting board, place in large bowl, stir in one bottle B-B-Q sauce and lemon juice.
Serve with whatever you like. My favorite is baked beans and pickles.
