I have a mold marked Lyman #350447. I believe it casts a 185grGc FN bullet. What calibre is it for? Thanks.

bigbear:

It is for the .348 WCF in the Winchester Model 71, which has been brought back by Browning recently.

It might also be for the 351 winchester.

jonly: Yes, it probably would fit the '07 in .351, though at 183 grs., it is about 15 grs. heavier than the 167-gr. RN #350319 specified for the .351, and the small flat point might give feeding problems. Incidentally, the older 165-gr. #350293 for the .35 WSL in the 1905 also has a small meplat on a more rounded nose. All are gas-check designs. All this is from the 1973 Seciond Edition Lyman "Cast Bullet Handbook" as posted on CASTPICS.
