We had a Combat match yesterday. It's a double elimination match. 2 shooters, the paddles (on the tree below) are staggered so each man has 3 on his side. Each man is allowed 6 rounds only. The idea being to have less paddles on your side. 25 yards. We painted the paddles white. I was 15 degrees yesterday morning! The load must be enough to turn the paddle, but not so hot as to slam it and have it come back on you!

I loaded up some of the Lee Flat-nose boolits over 5 grains of Herco. Sized .358, 50/50 lube. I did not intend to shoot the HD in the match. But prior to the match, I shot it @ the tree for fun, and I hit 5 out of 6 shots! So, I did shoot it in the match. No, I didn't win the match, but I had a lot of fun and the load works great for the purpose.

After 35 rounds the barrel was clean. No leading or even powder fouling.
