I have a few pounds of SR 4759. I'd like to know if anyone has had good luck with it in a 3030. Normally I use 748 but I'd like to save that for my black rifles. Mold is GC RCBS 30-150-FN
Thanks

I use 19 gr with a 1/2 gr Dacron filler with that very bullet. Excellent it is.

Thanks for the reply.I haven't experimented with fillers. I have some COW though. Would that be a suitable substitute? I know I don't use a filler with sr4759 in 30-06 and it shoots well. Are they necessary?

Try it without the filler first. My starting loads in a full size cartridge like the 30-07, 8 X57, etc is 16grs. Usually in these 18 or 19 gr is the most accurate. So start low and work up.

Yep, used bunches of it in the 30-30 with 160 to 180 gr GC boolits, 18.0 to 19.0 gr works really well for me. Have never used a filler with it though, never seen the need to.
