Today's my birthday, been telling people I am 52. I was corrected by my wife who informed me I am 53.

How does that happen? It is official senility sets in at 52, or it it 53?

I hope not, that isn't far down the road.

My mother did forget my birthday one year, I reminded her that far as I knew she was there.....

I'm sure it's happened to more people that are willing to admit to it, they say there are 2 things that go first, one is memory, can't remember the 2nd one.........

I have to count it up pretty much every year on my birthday to figure it out.
Working at home, I don't keep track of the date. I recall when I went in to F&G for a permit this fall, I was filling out a form, and asked what the date was. The gal told me the 14th. I stopped and had a deer in the headlights look. I then asked, what month. She gave me a strange look, and told me. After a few seconds pause, she said, 2013~!
Good of you for the reminder though, I checked, and my concealed weapons expires next month, but I'm good on drivers license for a couple more years!

By the way, happy birthday!

No worries--some things just aren't important to us. I am, as opinion other than my own have expressed, aging very well. A while back co-workers were discussing their favorite TV shows from back in the day. I blurted out "Mork and Mindy", and "Cheers" as a couple of mine. After a few strange looks I got asked the question--"How old ARE you??" I had to stop, think about it, do the math, and then wasn't even completely positive. Guess it just isn't that important to me... :D

You know you're getting old when someone asks you how old you are and your response is "What year is it?"... Yeah, I've had that happen way too often. I suspect that it comes from not celebrating birthdays.

If it's senility I'm in real trouble. Happened to me when in my 40s. Was talking to Mrs. smokeywolf one day about forgetting something, "doggone! 48 years old and I'm already getting forgetful." She said, "your 47!" I actually had to stop and do the math.

"Mork and Mindy",
AH, Mindy, what a sight for an adolescent teen male.
My senility set in this year, my B-day is in September, I thought I was going to be 48, turns out I became 49
I think I was abducted by aliens for a year http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v313/James64/Smilies/unhappy-089.gif

I liked Joyce Dewitt from threes company. I have an autographed picture from her somewhere, she lives in Santa fe, got to meet her.

And Pam Dawber from Mork and Mindy.... She was a young mans dream.

I reached 77 on 23rd December,I avoid asking people how old they think I am since this awkward question has been put to me in my younger days. Therefore I resist inflicting them with a do I tell the truth or do I give a redicuously low age and feel uncomfortable about it.Tempus Fugit and nothing will slow it down.Whilst I still have my marbles I will continue to enjoy my shooting:).

When I was 39 1/2 I began thinking I was 40. It was no big deal to actually turn 40. But 68? How did that happen so fast?

I forgot my birthday completely one year. Was at work and someone said it was their birthday and I got to thinking that I had one coming up pretty quick myself, looked at the date on my watch and realized it was a month ago. I didn't say anything, how bad ya wanna look? Guess it wasn't all that important or I would have thought of it.

I usually just say that, I think I look pretty good for 88. Most agree, and want to punch me when I admit to 71.
Been married 50 come March 14th. She hasn't allowed me to forget even once.

Most people see me and think I'm a lot older than I am. I didn't inherit my mother's black hair and I about as white as Santa Clause. My 12yr old granddaughter told me . GrandPa, women like a man with the gray like you have.

Who the heck has she been listening to? LOL
