Just got a 21lb bar of what I was told and seems like type metal, paid $25 for it so either way a good deal.

Here is the logo,

Might be linotype, just a swag though. Maybe a pic of the whole thing would help.

Very much so. Those things are in the 20+ lb range. Spawn, that's a good find. It has 4% tin and 12% antimony, has a hardness of 22BHN. But you might already know that and what you can mix it with.

Yup just looked it up, just gotta figure out what i'm going to mix it with, i will likely use it for 30 cal bullets, maybe with my 500 mag after mixing it.

thanks for the help guys!

That bar was cast in a linotype bar mold. In my area some unscrupulous guys a few years back came upon a mold and were casting WW + a little tin in them, and then quenching the ingot and passing them off as linotype to bullet casters.

So, you gotta watch out, and not just assume that an ingot this shape is linotype.

Looks identical to my linotype bars.

If you really want to test it, give it a whack with a hammer......linotype will break easily and you'll then see the crystalline structure in the broken ends.

exactly how it happened when i dropped the bar on it's 2 "horns" and they broke off, i'm very confident it's linotype with what has been said and what i see.
