I just moved up to a Lee Turret press and wanted a visual tool to monitor that the correct amount of powder was going into each case -- especially for my 2.8 gr of Bullseye load in a .38 SPL case. Before I purchased the RCBS Powder Check die, I couldn't find any post anywhere that assured me that it would be able to display variances in such a small load -- therefore I am posting this in case it anwswers someone else's question.

The first picture shows the check die measuring a correct 2.8 gr load, the second picture is a double charge and the third is an empty case. It turns out that the powder check die does do a good job for even 2.8 gr of Bullseye in a .38 SPL case.

Although I suppose I should have faith in my powder drop, I believe that this tool is going to give me a little more piece of mind.
