What about the MYPIN pid controller? Do these work as well as the others? Let me know what you think.

Mine works great as well. If you haven't found out yet, if the thermocouple isn't wired directly to the PID you need to use connectors and wire specifically for the type TC you have (commonly type K).

Frozone uses Mypin in the assembled and kitted controllers he sells.

I'd strongly suggest going to Frozone's sales link and download the Mypin manual he created. Beats the heck out of the Chinenglish one (thanks again Fro)-

Ok thanks for the input. I can purchase the MYPIN's a lot cheaper than the Auber brand and by the specs they are pretty much the same unit. I'm going to get started on mine.

Take a look at Frozone's product, many folks are using it.

My Mypin was about $28 on ebay, don't remember the shipping. Get SNR or SRR, but not RNR- it won't directly drive a SolidStateRelay.

SNR has a relay to control an alarm device such as a light or beeper or whatever. It's just relay contacts, whatever alarm thing you might want needs a power source. SRR has two independently programmable alarm relays if you want to get fancy.
