In honor of my late hunting partner I am doing a full on custom job on a 4.5" .357 Blackhawk. I have removed powdercoat on frame and ejector housing and polished to a nickel like finish. grips will be black walnut. The backstrap on grip frame will be engraved with tuckers name. It will be a dedicated wadcutter spitter. I am going to install a hammer and trigger with half cock notch and wolffe shooters pack springs. My question is will a 17lb hammer spring be enough to reliably ignite primer or should I go with the 19lb spring? trigger spring will be 30 ounce. Any advice from those of you that have done this kind of work on a Blackhawk would be appreciated. Will post pics when finished.
