woo hoo for me ... a new mold

about 2 years ago i lost all my reloading and casting equipment to a fire .
and today my first non lee bullet mold since then showed up in the mail ... i am pretty excited ,the lead pot is warming up as we speak .

my crappy pics do it no justice , but the mold is a 2 cavity for my .41 swiss from bernie
at old west ... it sure is a beauty

That is a beauty alright. It is always a good feeling to get a new or new to me mold. I am sure that after having lost your reloading and casting equipment that it is extra special to you. Now lets see that pile of boolits!

i made a few boolits ... the mold is fantastic , it makes great boolits . i gave it a good cleaning heated it up and after 6 pours i had perfect boolits ... bernie is most definatly getting a thank you card and an a+ from me
i did how ever have to show some restraint and stopped at about 50 boolits

my lee handles dont fit nowhere near as well as i'd like . gave very poor alignment when closing .
i think i will just wait a couple weeks save a few bucks and buy another set of handles rather then fight this set and risk any damage to the blocks

and with 20-1 alloy the dia and weight is spot on at .434 and 330 grains .

not only does bernie make some nice looking molds i got it very fast , i ordered it the monday before christmas and it came in fridays mail ...delivery in under 2 weeks with 2 holidays mixed in is just outstanding for a custom mold
