I don't own this mould yet but am thinking about ordering it, and have a couple of questions for those that do use it.

Does a flat top punch work for this design in a lubrisizer?

Will the flat seater plug in a Lyman die seat this boolit in the case without damage? I suspect that it's not large enough. If that's true, what do you use to seat this boolit?

Thanks.

I have this mold and a flat punch in the luber/sizer works fine. I have a Lee die set and no issues with the seater plug. If your Lyman won't work call them and they probably will send you out one for no charge. Most companies will do this.
I have loaded this to just over 1,000 fps and it still stabilized in my Ruger SBH and Contender. I also have loaded it to over 1,800 fps in the Contender 444 Marlin and is it awful fun to shoot!
At about 1,100 fps it shoots thru an elk broadside behind the shoulder with no problem at 75 yards.

I had a couple of flat plugs made for my Lee dies in .44 and .45 caliber as I use this fine RF boolit in both. With harder alloys you won't need a flat one but with softer ones it makes sense to use a flat one.

It's very accurate in my Contender. I think you will like it.

I wish they made a PB version, though. I'm too lazy to mill mine down.

Thanks for the replies. I placed an order with Midsouth and should have the mould in a few days.

A 1/4" bolt with the flats ground into round make an OK top punch for this bullet.
