What are you using them for? Do you make .224 bullets with them? Seems like the case is based on the 22Mag so wouldn't they be to big for use in making .224's? Does anyone need some seems like I got a bunch here lately.

They can be used to make a heavy 22 bullet (60-90gr) for fast twist barrels. They can also be used for 6mm. I have used them to make everything from 22 -270.

I've been using them for .257's. I'm sure they'd work well for .224 also. Haven't shot enough of them from my 25-06 to come up with a conclusion yet. Not enough time at the range!

I make excellent 6mm bullets from them.

I can always use them. Save as many as you can. I'll take what you wish to get rid of.

So would I have to get another point forming die to use these to make a heavy bullet? I'd like to make 69 -75gr bulllets just for my 1:7" twist AR.

Well I ran a test on some 75gr bullets and I can use my curent dies to do it just need to figure out the correct trim length for the cases as reformed 17's are very long. An also need to figure out how not to punch through the cases when forming them! The first one forms great but when trying to push #2 through it punched off the case head! :(

All depends on what you are going for. Mine is a spire point similar to hornady. I made so 100gr 22 bullets for a friend to try in his 22BR. Really had to start low and work up as there is a lot of bearing surface. I tried some 60 & 70gr bullets made from standard LR (60gr) and CCI stingers (70gr). The worked OK in my AR (1-8") until I got to the upper loads and the bullets started coming apart. It is all a twist vs velocity thing. I did not have my chronograph so I cannot tell you the exact velocities of these. The 22mag/17HMR case might be a little thicker. Havent really mic'd them to check.
