Would like to find a double cavity mold for 32 acp . I have a few 32 simi auto pistols mainly older like 1903 Colt , FEG , etc . Wondered if anyone would have a recomendation on a mold ? Also can the same 32 mold be used on both revolver and auto ?

The lyman 311252 sized to .312 works great in all my .32 autos and revolvers.

RCBS 32-90CM works in .32 ACP, 7.62x25, .32 S&W Long and H&R Mag., as well as in the. 32-20 Win.

Load 1.8 grs.of Bullseye at 0.975" OAL in .32 ACP, 2.5 grs. at 1.28" in .32 S&W Long, 3 grains at 1.32" in H&R Mag., 3 grains at 1.58" in. 32-20 and 5 grains at 1.375" in 7.62x25.

The Lee 93gr RN also works in the 32acp plus many others.

I use an RCBS 86 gn RN sized .312(for a worn barrel in .32acp and 7.62X25), good barrel in colt revolver. In the 7.62X25(CZ52) I use cereal box wad and kapok. Good results.

Glad to help. The 1903 Colts will feed SWCs that most other pistols won't. I have killed lots of small game with the Saeco #325 miniature Keith bullet and 1.7 grains of Bullseye.

There is a mihec mold open on the group buy forum for the 32 acp. Been thinking about getting in on it myself.

I will second the lee 93gr double cavity. Works great.

I started with the Lee 311-93-1R in 32acp and delivered the mold to a friendly machine shop with instructions to mill off the bottom driving band and lube groove (I also have another of this same mold, not modified, for other uses). It now molds boolits at 71 grains but several of my pistols do not like the nose profile. I experimented with different COL, but got no relief. Still needing a reliable boolit I next tried the Lee 311-100-2R in a 2-cavity mold. Again, the bottom driving band and lube groove went away. The resulting cavities give me boolits that weigh 78 grains and are reliable in every 32acp I have tried them in. I will keep the first modified mold for future projects and will continue to rely on the second mold for 32acp. Food for thought.

I thank everyone for their help and input ! Not fair to burden folks and take their time looking for opinion though . Thank you ! In the future I will read the stickys and and read more before just asking silly questions . Great advice and will probably go with the Lyman 311252 . Thanks !

JT and I have been brainstorming a light .30 cal. plinker which would also be suitable in the .32 ACP, .30 Luger and 7.62x25, read the thread here:

Discussion and expression of interest is welcome.

AccurateMolds(.com) has a couple designs that are suitable for 32-ACP as well.

I can not endorse fully the heavier (for caliber) boolits. The 90 + grainers will probably function OK, but they will not shoot anywhere's near point of aim, especially out of the smaller guns like the Beretta Tomcat, the Taurus TCP and the like. My Tomcat prints about 14 inches high and 5 inches left at 7 yards with a 93 grain 311-245. Stick with the 311-252, the RD 314-77, or the RCBS 32-75, if you'd like to hit where you aim. Or at least close thereto.
