Well i figured the .269 bullets erm... boolits i got off Mel should work in the carcano, i got them out to 2.787 inches with the nice big throat on the carcano. went with 10.1 grains of SR-4759 and a cottonball and on the 400 meter sight with 6 0clock hold the old m91 terni seems to show some promise.

Scotty,

..........Hey Scotty, glad to see your post! You know ole Mel up in Canuckistan? That Mel? I have some pills can fix that right up.

I see you have the real deal, a 1891. Means you have the gaintwist barrel. That does look like some promising shooting work. What are you going to try next?

The Carcano I've done the most with is a M38 FC in 7.35. I have a like new (looks unissued) little M91/38 Moschetto TS carbine in 6.5 (below).

Too cute to be taken seriously, huh :-). I haven't done much more then fireform 50 rounds of brass in it yet. Needs a holster almost.

Yeah i know Mel from canuckistan lol. Im not sure what to try next maybe just try to tighten my group a bit , with a little bit of trying to remember how i had the sight picture on the last shot :p . Or maybe try this load in 1 of my 91/41s. I wonder what the gain twist does to the bullet...boolit going from
1 in 18 to 1in 8 or whatever it is lol. You got a very nice carcano there good too see other people like them too, its hard having carcanos up here with all the
people who just think they are junk :x .

............Just got Dennis of Empire Arm's "Secret list" and he had 3 Carcanos. All older (1917, 1912 type older) TS carbines. They were $150, $195, and $225 !!!!!! I guess more then just us two like them :D. I paid $75 each for mine. I wouldn't mind finding a M41 either.
