Hello Gentlemen
Anyone out there casting 145gr lead boolits for a .38 S&W?
Have a Webly that I would like to reload for, .360 dia.
And due to the powers, that think they are in power,
hopefully someone in the great white north, since most won't ship to Canada.
Thanks

I use them & they are excellent in My S&W Terrior Come in at about 150 gr & the 361 sizing is great

Not sure about shipping restrictions but Western Bullet Co carries the NOE 200 gr Webley style which would be more correct than a American 150ish gr version - http://www.westernbullet.com/noe363200mki.html

I use standard 158 gr swc in my old H&R and Iver Johnsons. They cast about .359. Shoot fine. Not as accurate as a Webly or S&W, but fun to shoot!!

If proper sized 38 S&W boolits are unavailable try 148 grain swaged lead , hollow based wadcutters. Do not seat them flush with the case mouth as you do in 38 special, but leave the front of the boolit sticking out. Seat the base of the 148 gr boolit in about the same place as the base of the 145 gr boolit...leaving the same amount of room for powder.
The hollow base will expand and fill the throat/bore diameter. I load this boolit over 2.0 grains of Bullseye or Red Dot for my top break 38 S&W double action revolver . The Webley, being of stouter construction, could possibly be loaded to a few more FPS...don't go too hot or the soft hollow based skirt will be damaged.
