For a moment there I thought you were going to ask about a rocket of some sort. IDK about 165, but the Lee 175gr style has done me right in 10mm hot loads

The only 40 mm I know is what the Army uses in their old M-179 grenade launcher, or, M-203 or the grenade launcher on helicopters.

reloading either would be kinda fun!
But casting that boolit! It would empty a pot pretty quick!

30mm is the biggest I've seen

92250

stolen form ebay

NEI mould $875.00. Listing doesn't say what the weight is.

I like Accurate's 40-165f as long as you don't have issues with the bevel base.(if you do I'm pretty sure he can cut it with a flat base)

But there are 7 - 165gr moulds to choose from.

That would be the M79.

But today the Mark 19 is a fully-automatic grenade launcher which uses a 40mm.

Lyman makes a 170gr mold, but if you can afford it Accurate is the way to go

I still have so 40mm cases with the links from the Mark 19......although the are not lead rounds it would be cool to make a mould and reload them as dummy rounds. Thanks mac226 now you got me thinking and starting a new project! there goes another 10lbs of lead!!! lol

Seems to me I've seen some that have a legit M79 launcher take a empty case and use a 38 special blank to launch a projectile filled with chalk dust. It easily goes a couple hundred yards and when it hits the chalk dust is released and puts up quite a cloud.

What is the actual weight of the bullets? Do they come out at 175 grains?
