Uberti 1873 SSA Frontier 44-40 from 1995 Cylinder Chamber Mouth diameter to large!!

Dear all,

What a great forum this is! BTW I am from Bavaria, home of the Octoberfest:grin:

May i have your advice on:

I have a challenge with my Uberti SSA Frontier 44-40 from 1995

Its barrel is .428 BUT the cylinder chamber mouths are .434!!!

With this set up none of my tests with 6.5/7grain Trailboss and .427, 428, .429 and .430 lead bullets 8200grains) showed any positive precision results..

Any ideas how i can solve this .434 chamber mouths problem

I have almost same problem in my Uberti 1873 45LC

The cylinder is .455 and my barrel is .449,5, what i did was just find a big enough boolit and cast it soft then it started to shoot good :)

See if you cant find some .434 boolits and i think that will help.
