All shots with 20" Rossi .357, C358-180RF @ 1800fps. Iron sights. Off-hand.

Dunes State Park. Day 1, Hour 1 ... Got to the park at 6:30 still hunted for an hour.

Two does within 30sec of each other. DRT. Hung em up by noon.

First doe was 45yds through a V in some trees, but gave me a nice Neck/Spine shot anyway. Used my Primos hands-free "Buck & Doe Grunt" (set to doe-grunt) to get her to look. DRT.

Second doe didn't even recognise that a gun had been fired (compared to a shotgun the .357 is durn near silent...) I didn't see her/she didn't spook until I had gotten about 10 yds away from Doe #1.

Shot doe #2 at 35yds down hill from doe #1 when she stopped at my grunt. Low Body (heart/lung) was behind cover. Took a high forward spine/neck. DRT.

.357 + good shooting = no tracking.

awesome! I hope to drop one this year with my NEI 358-180 bullet out of my Win 94. I had my chance earlier as I heard rapid running through the leaves and when I looked a buck stoped 25 feet infront of me broadside and looked at me. I couldn't move, buck fever. When he did trot away slowly he put a bunch of trees in the way so no shot.. Not as exciting as your day though!

I had assumed the bullet had clipped the spine, but on quartering the carcass it turns out it did not. The bullet track is downward from the point of impact and comes out just in front of the Left leg.

got any pics of your cast bullets as they came out of the mould?

They were cast by Steveb. We've all seen his purty pics of his boolits.

I didn't have a mould yet so I swapped some pb for a bag of cast.

I just checked them & tumbled them in LLA. then stuffed'em in CBC brass full of Lilgun.
