Hey guys. I was shooting my new S&W 642 today and noticed that the forcing cone has some rather prominent tool marks on the inside circumference. While shooting I also felt some mild spitting from the cylinder gap. I think it needs to go back to the mothership to have this taken care of. Here are some cell phone pics, hopefully you can see what I'm talking about.

If it's spitting lead at you there could be more wrong than a rough forcing cone. Considering the cost for a S&W I would not like what you are looking at and shooting.

I think you're right. Back to the mothership! No revolver should be spitting lead.

I bet a few jacketed bullets would smooth that out.

I'm not sure it's spitting lead but I can feel a bit of gas discharge on my trigger finger. Westwind, I dont even know where my .357 j-words are at. Since the last time I loaded and fired them I have gotten married, moved to a different county, and gotten a new job. Most snubby shooters I have known practice the carry alot/shoot a little method, I doubt they would ever notice. Cast Boolits shooters are more discerning, of course!8-)
