T/C Cherokee nipple

Hi all, New to this site, but an old shooting fart (64)! I have a 32 Cherokee that has been in the gun safe for quite some time, so I get the urge to check it over so I can shoot. To make a long story short the nipple was a bit smashed from prior use so I ordered two new ones from Dixie which said the #NP 1092 would fit cherokee and seneca, well they they won't fit. Anyone know what size will fit the little rifle? The ones I tryed are 12X28 AMPCO. I've sent an email to see if I can exchange them. Thanks for listening!

12x28 is the correct size for Cherokee nipples. maybe Dixie sent ya some defective or mismarked/oversize/wrong sized ones. or possibly a problem with the threads on yer bolster. luck & have a good'en, bubba.

Uncle Mike's Set No 2861 Are 12-28 thread. I use Uncle Mike's Musket Nipples, hardened stainless steel. Best I've used! Steve.
