Hi guys and Gals
Well, i got my first NOE mold for christmas, and i cast with it for the first time today... It casts very nicely... Being a 4 cavity mold, it was a pretty hot and heavy session, and after breaking in the mold i cast about 300 or so keepers that I still have to weight sort.. Culls were pretty low, and with my alloy, i was getting the boolits right at .226 with a OAL of .480 on the keepers. No longer will i have to search for boolits for the 22 Jet... These little guys should shoot nice with it... Of course i am also gunna shoot them out of a bolt 223, and might even try them out in AlaskaGurls 22-250... My first NOE though, and although it was a bit spendy, it was on AlaskanGurls dime, so WHO CARES...lol
Here are a couple pics to make ya drool...

If anybody want to borrow this little beauty to cast with, just PM me so i can tell ya to jump in the lake in private... :kidding:

Well, mine is a 1 in 9 for the 223, alaskangurls 22-250 is 1 in 12, and the 22 jet is also 1 in 12... So one of them guns ought to just love it...lol

You have it covered for sure!!! I'm betting the 223 at 1-9 will do alright up to 1700fps or so, maybe more. I'm really looking forward to hearing how the 22 Jet likes those pills!!!

In the 22-250 use 4g of bullseye or similar fast powder.just roll them in lee alox and don't use a gascheck.I use the ldeal 225438 for this and it groups inch(ish) at 50 yards with this load.BTW I have never weight sort 22 cast and my.guns seem to shoot as well as others who do.
Looks a lot like the Bator.

Looks a lot like the Bator.
It does, nose profile is not quite as abrupt and lube grooves are not as pronounced but it is close!!!

I'll bet there's not much more than plus or minus .1gr, be interesting to see though!!
Those small pills can be a PITA to work with......

Sweet lookin Boolits Pard!!! Dang, I love these 22 threads!!!
I'm new to the game. This is my very first .22 mold.
I'll be loading these for my CZ527 in .221 Fireball.
I hope I can get decent accuracy @ 50 yards. 100 might be pushing it.
It's a sub MOA rifle @100 with J words.

Mine are between 45.1 and 45.7 grains.... Even smaller then the tiny bator... Cant tell though unless you put them side by side...lol
Waco, your boolits are always purty... :)
I am gunna shoot these with 2400.... Prolly start the ladder at 7.5 and go up to about 10... I am sure that once weight sorted, they will group well at 100 yards in my bolt gun with 1 in 9 twist... The bators sure did, and so did my 62 gr miH ar mold in the bolt gun...

AG and Waco, Ya'll take a look at the thread "Noe 225-70" by Shakey Jakey. He has done a LOT of testing with a 1-9 223 and his results may be interesting to you. He used 2400 and 5744 as I recall and got sub MOA accuracy. Members "Beagle" and Jim also posted a lot of testing on cast 22 Boolits you fellas may find helpful.
Waco, I just saddled this pony as well!!! I'm trying to develop a load with a Lyman 225415 and right now and am at MOPiePlate. I've made a few mistakes but I've gotten a lot of help and think I'll get the groups down to an acceptable size soon, hope so anyway.

The NOE 226-45 RF is one of BRP Mold designs, it was designed by BaBore for the 22 Hornet there is an old long thread on it here somewere, I have a 6 Cav BRP mold that is 3+ yrs old. it has cast thousands of them. I shoot them in a my Stevens 322 K-hornet 1x16 twist with IMR 4227 at 2675 FPS heat treated WWs . My brother loads them in a regular NE/H&R Hornet with 1x12. Altheating feeds several K-Hornets with a BRP mold also.
